Hope you enjoy! ****************************************************** A BAD CHECK STORY Some wonder why personal checks are not accepted. Here is just one reason why. I sold a second kitten at a discounted price to Darlene Ludy of Summerville, GA. Darlene wrote me a postdated check for funds that would be available when the kitten was ready to go. I agreed to meet her with the kitten after she assured me her mother called the bank and the check had been paid. This was on a Friday. On Monday the check was returned with NSF stamped across the front. I emailed Darlene Ludy and asked what I needed to do to get my money and her reply “So ashamed…I can meet you at the store Friday at 12:00 with cash.” Friday came and she couldn’t meet me, she was “sick”. “I will be mailing you a $400 money order.” After several days I contacted her to have her tell me the MO went in the mail on “Monday after 2" and I should have it in a day or so. Well days went by and of course no MO from Darlene Ludy so again I contacted her to have her tell me she checked with the post office and the MO hadn’t been cashed or returned. Darlene Ludy didn’t realize my husband works for the post office and they don’t and can’t track a MO for 60 days. Another lie from Darlene Ludy. Darlene told me she was raised to “respect her elders…..and she is not a liar” Too bad she wasn’t raised NOT to write bad checks!! And if her mother (whom I’m assuming raised her) told her she called the bank and the check has been paid…….who’s doing the lying here?? But to top all I told Darlene Ludy to bring my kitten back and her reply “there is no way I am coming to your house since you are upset. God BLESS you.” I guess I should have been happy that she is trying to beat me out of $400 and has the pick of the litter kitten to boot. And don’t you just love people that use the veil of Christianity, “God Bless You”, as they are putting it to you?! So for all of you that are honest you can thank people like Darlene Ludy of Summerville, GA. when I kindly say I don’t accept checks..sorry.
